Exploring and Rating Wine and Food Pairings

About

Steven is a Certified Sommelier, self-taught cook, and wine collector since 1975.

In the summer of 2020, he passed the French Wine Scholar exam proctored by the Wine Scholar Guild.  Trish is a self-taught nutritionist and cook.  Together, we have traveled the Northern Hemisphere sampling wines and cuisines in a variety of countries and regions.

Steve’s wine education began in Napa Valley in the early Seventies, before Napa and Sonoma became chic. None of today’s cult Cabernets existed then, and at least one major producer (Wente) labeled their Chardonnay as Pinot Chardonnay. Their wine collection now encompasses many countries and regions, with a bottle count Trish calls overtly self-indulgent.

We strive to broaden your knowledge of foods, wines and fine pairings. Hope you enjoy our posts!
